A Cold Winters Day PART THREE (An original online interactive novel).

NOTE:  "Your Ex-Lover" is now a female, and you are a male.

Majority vote was: Tie between Show & Tell and Show.

You sit there, contemplating whether or not to show your ex-lover the box, wondering if you should tell her what you saw.
"It's a bit cold out, isn't it?" she asks you casually.
You hesitate, but eventually answer "Yeah, I kind of wasn't expecting this snow to last for so long."
"So, about that man who bumped into you on the way out ~"
"What about him?"
"He gave you a package; I saw it.  Show it to me."
Hesitantly, you agree, reaching into your coat pocket, pulling out a small, brown-paper package, tied up with string.
"It feels like a cardboard box," you tell her.
"Hm, I think I know what it is, but we will have to go somewhere safe.  Luckily, I am staying in a hotel on the other side of town; here is the address," she says, as she writes down the address on a piece of paper and hands it to you.  "I will expect you there by no later than 3pm"
Looking at your watch, you notice it is 1:15pm already.
"Couldn't you just take it with you?"
"No, it's safer for you to take it."
Nervously, but trying not to show it, you agree.

Having left the bakery, you walk out to the street with your ex-lover, and she hails a taxi, telling you "Remember, that address, no later than 3pm."

"Can't I just come with you now?"
"No, as I have said already, it's safer for it to go with you."

The taxi drives away, and you look at the address, and if you walk there, it would take you until around 3pm to get there, give or take five or ten minutes either way.
