A Cold Winters Day PART TWO (An original online interactive novel).

NOTE to the Reader: I'm just making this up as I go, and by and large have no real plans for what's going to happen to any of the characters.

Also, I'm trying to keep the characters as generic as possible, so if a female reads this she can interpret "ex-lover" as a guy.  I'm just trying to make it as accessible to as broad of an audience as possible.  However, that is proving difficult, and might just yet turn"your ex-lover" into a sheila (Note to overseas readers: "Sheila" is, as well as a woman's name, Australian slang for woman).

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: We share this journey together.

Majority vote was: Follow.

Remembering your ex-lovers scent, and remembering how spending time with them made you feel, you decided to ignore the door and try and catch up, as you watch your ex-lover cross the road, hoping you can get there before the lights turn red again.

You call out, "Hey, it's me!  Hey!" quickly hastening your pace, however, you are a little too late, as the lights change colour, and busy traffic begins to flow in front of you.

Behind you, you heard the loud slamming of the door you almost most opened, and see around five, unidentifiable men, completely clothed, head to too, in some sort of militaristic outfits.  Any chance you had of finding out what was behind that door is now gone, so you decided to continue your pursuit of your ex-lover.

You walked down that same street you saw them go, and can smell that delightful bakery where you both used to share so much time together, and decide to go in, hoping to find your ex-lover.  Just as you walk through the door, a person un-apologetically bumps you accidentally on purpose, handing you a small box, but as you turn to get their attention, they have blurred into the crowd.  Regardless, you see your ex-lover sitting a small metal table, in a metal chair, and decide to go up and talk.

"Why did you follow me here?  and who was that person; what did they give you.?"

You explained that you didn't know them, and as you begin to reach into your pocket to take out the box and show it to her, you remembered that this ex-lover of yours ... never lied (as such), but was ... sneaky ... under-handed ... devious.

DO YOU:
1) Show your ex-lover the box
2) Forget the box, and just keep talking.
3) Tell your ex-lover about the events you saw near the door earlier this morning.

These are your options:
Show
Talk
Tell!
Show & Talk
Show & Tell

  1. Don't tell her anything, she's onto you!

Just to mention that it is sexist that you have given the choice of show HER the box even though you said previously that the ex could be a he or a she depending on your point of view. You should change the choices or just make it a female from the start.

If you show her the box she will want whatever is in it. They all do, never show stuff to a female, they will try and make it their own.

And don't tell her about the door, she will take you back there and demand to go inside. I already warned you about the Government, and there they were as you walked away with their soldiers and laws. If she takes you in there the government is going to capture you and torture you with whatever demons live inside.

The only option you have is to talk over the top of her until she forgets about everything else and takes you to your destiny!

  4. I say tell her but don't show. Things are always more interesting when there are more people involved but giving away tooo much is always a problem.
